Why I'm Running
I never planned to run for Mayor.
I planned to help build a stronger Fairfield.
For years, I have worked alongside residents, businesses, educators, nonprofit organizations, public agencies, and regional leaders to help solve challenges facing our community. Whether advocating for children and families, supporting small businesses, participating in regional economic development, or building partnerships across Solano County, my focus has always been the same: helping create opportunities that strengthen our community.
Over time, I began to notice something.
Many of the challenges Fairfield faces are discussed separately, but they are deeply connected. Public safety, economic development, housing, transportation, education, and quality of life all influence one another. Yet too often, the conversations happen in different rooms, at different tables, with different people.
I found myself working to connect those conversations.
Then I realized something else.
Fairfield is at a pivotal moment.
Our city faces long-term financial challenges, changing economic conditions, and important decisions that will shape our future for decades. We cannot simply react to today’s problems. We need leadership that understands how today’s decisions affect tomorrow’s opportunities.
That was the moment I realized the work I had already been doing had prepared me for something more.
I wasn’t looking for a title.
I was looking for a way to make a greater impact.
Running for Mayor became the natural extension of the work I was already committed to doing.
I believe strong communities create opportunity.
When we strengthen our economy, we create the resources needed to support essential city services.
When residents have access to good jobs, safe neighborhoods, attainable housing, reliable transportation, quality education, and vibrant public spaces, our entire community benefits.
That’s why my campaign isn’t focused on one issue.
It’s focused on connecting the dots.
As Mayor, I will work to strengthen Fairfield’s economy, address our long-term fiscal challenges, support public safety, expand opportunity, invest in quality of life, and ensure Fairfield has a stronger voice in the regional decisions that shape our future.
Because I believe Fairfield’s future will not be built by one person.
It will be built by all of us.
